Ranthambhore Tours & Travels started in 1994 as the first taxi owner in Sawai-Madhopur district of Rajasthan to take tourists around Ranthambhore's renowned tiger sanctuary. Back then, they recorded an average footfall of 4-5 guests per week. Today, powered by 13 employees, its proprietor, Sheik Moin, looks after at least 5000 guests annually.
The tour operator managed its bookings & orders on Microsoft Excel with the help of a tourist turned data operator. However, most of their work, including reconciliation of orders with deliveries and bills with receipts was manual. This resulted in inaccuracy and poor visibility. Without automation, access to MIS was also a distant dream for them.
Ranthambhore Tours & Travels first adopted Tally in 2005, which was upgraded to Tally.ERP 9 Silver, and later to Tally.ERP 9 Gold in 2013. Impressive Star Softwares, a Tally Integration Partner engaged with them to ensure that additional support was built on the Tally.ERP 9 platform, for handling scenarios specific to the tourism industry. This ensured that the tour operator could manage all its major operations with Tally.ERP 9 alone.
By implementing Tally.ERP 9, the tour operator has achieved significant improvement in business processes, with an increased ability to respond to financial queries in real time. The company has witnessed huge improvement in service delivery of over 90%, as well as 50% reduction in data entry time. In addition, it has seen a 30% reduction in delays related to outstanding collections, improving the efficiency of the operation further.
